Youth and Multigenerational Worship
Westminster children and youth experience worship in small groups, together in children’s chapel, and with the whole congregation when they begin with the adults on Sundays and in multigenerational services.
In the Classroom – each class begins with a chalice lighting and reading, and a brief reflection on the Unitarian Universalist Principles.
Intergenerational Worship takes place on occasional Sundays throughout the year. When starting in the service, children will participate with adults in the opening rituals and a Time For All Ages.
Multigenerational Services are held periodically and children and youth are encouraged to attend along with the adults. These services are designed for all ages, and often take place near a holiday, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. There are no youth religious education classes on these days. Check the calendar for detailed scheduling information.
Youth Worship – senior high youth lead and participate in their own worship experiences, as well as worship with the larger church community.
